Annapurna Region

The Annapurna region lies towards the north of central Nepal. The region is the recognized as one of the world’s best trekking trails. The highlights of this part of Nepal are Annapurna I, II, III, IV and Annapurna South, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri, Tilicho Pick, Tilicho Lake (world’s Highest Lake 5200m), Kali Gandaki River and its dippiest Gorge in the world , Holy Place known as a Muktinath Temple and known as a Gateway to Mustang. The must prominent ethnic groups of Annapurna region are Gurung, Thakali and Manange. Residents of many Different types of Animals like Blue sheep and Himalayan Tahr, Yaks etc. and land of tropical species to temperate forest of oak, rhododendron etc.
The popular trekking routes of this region are Jomsom / Muktinath, Annapurna circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Ghorepani (Pun Hill), Sikles, Royal Trek, Dhaulagiri, Lo-manthang, Mustang and around Pokhara.
