Kanchanjunga Trek
An adventurous mountain trek in eastern Nepal in the area of the world’s 3rd highest Himalayan peak Kanchenjungha, is almost an expedition type of tour. The remoteness of Nepal, high altitude and High Mountain passes, culture and the pristine nature are the attraction of this trek.
The approaches to Mt. Makalu & Mt. Kanchanjunga have remained virtually unchanged since the two mountains received their first ascents in the mid 1950’s. The trekking route to both mountains have however been shortened in recent year as a result of the opening of the airstrips at Tumlingtar and Tapllijung. Ever so, a route type to either mountain will occupy the best part of there to fore weeks tough trekking. Kanchanjunga region is the home of Limbus, beware of their potent specialty brew “Tongba”
- Day 01:- Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and vernight in Hotel (L+D).
- Day 02:- Fly from Biratnagar to Suketaar and trek to Mitlong, overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 03:- Trekking from Mitlong to Chheruwa and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 04:- Trek from Chheruwa to Segadung and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 05:- Trekking from Segadung to Amjilasa and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 06:- Trek from Amjilasa to Gyapla and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 07:- Trek from Gyapla to Ghumsa and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 08:- Rest day in Ghumsa for acclimatization, overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 09:- Trek from Ghumsa to Khambachen and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 10:- Trek from Khambachen to Lhonak and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 11:- Trek from Lhonak to Pang Pema Base Camp and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 12:- Rest day at Pang Pema B.C. for acclimatization. Explore the areas, overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 13:- Trek from Pang Pema B. C. to Khambachen and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 14:- Trek from Khambachen to Ghumsa and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 15:- Trek from Ghumsa to Selele and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 16:- Trek from Selele to Lhapsang and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 17:- Trek from Lhapsang to Ramje and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 18:- Trek to Yarlung Glacier. Explore the areas and return to Ramje and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 19:- Rest day at Ramje (B/F+L+D).
- Day 20:- Trek from Ramje to Tseram and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 21:- Trek from Tseram to Torontam and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 22:- Trek from Torontam to Yangphudin and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 23:- Trek from Yangphudin to Khunjar and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 24:- Trek from Khunjar to Suketar and overnight in camp (B/F+L+D).
- Day 25:- Fly from Suketar to Biratanagar and afternoon fly to Kathmandu (B/F+L).
